The QUEENSLAND SESSION ORCHESTRA joins Musical Director JOE RUBERTO and the enchanting FEM BELLING in a journey through the golden age of musical film and theatre in this one-off spectacular Cabaret performance on Noosa Heads Main Beach. Be transported back in time to the sounds of Gershwin, Rodgers and Hammerstein, Gilbert and Sullivan and Porter. FEM BELLING, A virtuoso vagabond, traversing styles as deftly as she crosses the seas, brings her charm and beauty to the stage as she travels back in time to sing some of the most acclaimed scores ever written.
Supported by: SARUZU QUARTET – Rich harmonies of Argentine Tango and the fire of Classical Spanish Flamenco. The brainchild of flamenco master ANDREW VEIVERS, SARAZU evokes the sensual, alluring sounds of Spain and the Spanish new world. SHENTON GREGORY (violin), ANDREW SHAW (double bass) and the mesmerising dance of SIMONE POPE.

Some of the states most highly accredited musicians come together to form this major orchestral format headlining and supporting huge international performances through out the country. The ensemble features a collaboration of professional musicians including members of the QLD symphony orchestra & QLD chamber orchestra.

Fern’s Musical Theatre journey began with Little Shop of Horrors and never looked back with starring roles in Joseph and His Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat, Jesus Christ Superstar, Summer Holiday, Oklahoma, The Rocky Horror Show and Nunsense Jamboree followed by the international tour of Cats as Jennyanydots. Crossing the seas to London, Fem has been treading the boards of West End theatres for many years including Hairspray original West End cast, Austentatious, Fame, Footloose & Annie Get Your Gun.
Saruzu meld a love for the esoteric with an ability to absorb and distil what they experience and then reinvent it with a flamboyance that is both highly original and widely accessible. Wearing the influences of flamenco, improvised music, jazz harmony, and several hundred years of traditional western classical music proudly on their sleeves.
