Be transported to the provinces of Spain in this exquisite major production on the white sands of Main Beach as SHENTON GREGORY, SIMONE POPE & CLARA DOMINGO lead an ALL STRINGS FOURTEEN PIECE ENSEMBLE directed by the highly acclaimed ANDREW VEIVERS, portraying the passion and seductive allure that is FLAMENCO. Barcelona born CLARA DOMINGO (vocals) and Spanish dancer & choreographer SIMONE POPE bring drama and life to the beautiful and enchanting sounds of flamenco in song and dance. This is a magical show.

ANDREW VEIVERS, MUSICAL DIRECTOR, GUITAR
Andrew Veivers has established himself as a musician, teacher, director and composer of the highest calibre … touring, recording, composing and arranging extensively for solo projects, his groups Flamenco Fire and The Saruzu Quartet as well as for great Australian artistic institutions such as The Sydney Theatre Company, Opera Queensland and the Woodford Folk Festival.

CLARA DOMINGO, VOCAL
A recent arrival from Barcelona, Clara Domingo’s vocal style explores traditional flamenco and Spanish popular music. Reflecting an international sensibility that is firmly grounded within Spanish traditions.

SHENTON GREGORY, VIOLIN
The Queensland Conservatorium. Adapting his skills to a number of musical environments, ranging from classical archestras to Indian, Jazz and Spanish world music ensembles. He has .performed as . a featured soloist with major groups worldwide. His exquisite use of the violin is breathtaking and his unique arrangements simply jaw dropping.

SIMONE POPE, DANCE
Simone’s contemporary choreographies transfix the audience with their energy and passion. In Brisbane she is director of The Flamenco Studio where she teaches and hosts workshops by visiting national and international flamenco professionals. Beautiful in dance.

QUEENSLAND SESSION ORCHESTRA
Some of the states most highly accredited musicians come together to form this major orchestral format headlining and supporting huge international performances through out the country.
The ensemble features a collaboration of professional musicians from all over QLD including members of the QLD symphony orchestra & the QLD chamber orchestra.

ANDREW SHAW, DOUBLE BASS
The Queensland Conservatorium. A remarkably gifted musician, Shaw has toured Australia supporting rock legends Bryan Ferry & Roxy Music, and has backed Frank Bennett and Katie Noonan. As a composer, Shaw is also a full writer member of APRA and has had his works broadcast all over the country. Andrew also guest lectures with Queensland Conservatorium.
