Choreographer, Artistic Director PENELOPE MULLEN joins Concept & Fashion Design supremo CINDY VOGELS in the creation of MISS HUMMINGBIRD, runway performance, featuring luscious dancers exposing the adventures of MISS HUMMINGBIRD (SUNDAY LUCIA) as she and friends invite you to join them an their fashionable adventures.
Special guests & performances by Noosa alive! Ambassador NAOMI PRICE, Songstress FEM BELLING, Boogie Woogie Queen JAN PRESTON & Friends. A stunning production featuring a very special lunch designed by Celebrity Chef MATT GOLINSKI & Cocktails by CLAUDIO. Sensory overload, a pastiche of wondrous cuisine, theatrical movement, exquisite design, entertainment and FUN.

Penelope Mullen is a highly respected, multi-awarded, performer, director, choreographer, film maker, staging director and educator with far too many credits to cite on one page. As founder and director of Company Noir, her passion is to develop innovative corporate theatre programs with the express focus on engaging audiences. Her signature style is a fusion of innovative and emotive contemporary dance with visually arresting European based cabaret. Her inspiration is to bring people and cultures together to create meaningful experiences through dance.
Cindy has established herself as an Australian Fashion Designer/Stylist/Concept Supremo with a difference. Venturing into creative collaborations at home and internationally, she has presented her handcrafted millinery at London Fashion Week, multiple film clips and red carpet events including a stint with the one and only Lady Gaga in 2014. Preferring to work at the unique intersection of Fashion and costumery, Cindy’s involvement with Noosa alive! & the inaugural Beach Festival presented by Rococo Noosa is looking to be a magical expose of her work and her ability to collaborate with other extremely gifted creatives, director/choreographer Penny Mullen and a specially assembled group of dancer/performers in a first for NOOSA Main Beach.
Sunday Lucia began her dance training in the small country town of Bellingen NSW. Accepted into the Queensland Dance School of Excellence, Sunday went on to complete her Bachelor of Arts Dance at Queensland University of Technology. Following short stints performing in a Contemporary Dance Company in Singapore and Taiwan, Sunday made her Australian debut on stage with Expressions Dance Company in Maggi Sietsma’s production of Virtually Richard Ill. She currently performs as an Independent Artist co-choreographing and performing in Cabaret and Burlesque shows. Sunday Lucia returns to Noosa alive! 2017 as Miss Hummingbird.

Well-known as one of the original members of the popular Ready Steady Cook television series, Matt has worked as executive at some of Queensland’s leading restaurants and founded his own catering company. Based on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast, Matt now enjoys working as a consulting chef to restaurants, being a regular guest chef at festivals and events and writing his popular food columns and blog. He is also an active member of the Slow Food movement and a motivational speaker.
